Trapped Together After AnimeCon

Our last update was in February, so we have a lot to talk about.

For the first time, Trapped Together has been played by people outside our own development circle. We brought the game to AnimeCon with a playable demo, and the response gave us exactly what we needed: feedback, energy, bugs, and a clearer view of what the game needs next.

The Demo Worked, and It Broke

A lot of you broke the game.

Some of it we expected. A lot of it we absolutely did not.

Players pushed boundaries, tried strange solutions, misunderstood things in useful ways, and sometimes completely dismantled puzzles we thought were safe. It was humbling, but also extremely valuable.

Every bug, every unexpected interaction, and every moment of confusion showed us where the demo can improve.

What We Learned

The most important thing we saw was not the bugs. It was the cooperation.

We saw pairs leaning closer together to communicate. We heard laughter when things went wrong. We saw small celebrations when a solution finally clicked. We watched players realize, in real time, that they truly depended on each other.

That is the heart of Trapped Together.

Friends teased each other. Strangers quickly learned to cooperate. Some players came back more than once. Others stayed to talk, give feedback, or share what they thought after playing.

Those conversations meant more to us than you might realize.

Demo Improvements and Fixes

After AnimeCon, we now have a much clearer list of things to improve before the public demo release.

  • Fixing bugs discovered during the convention
  • Improving puzzle clarity without making solutions too obvious
  • Making interactions more reliable
  • Improving performance and stability
  • Polishing the flow of the demo level
  • Adding clearer feedback when players do something important

Some of these changes are small. Others are more structural. All of them are aimed at making the demo feel better, clearer, and more stable.

Public Demo Release

Our current goal is to release the public demo for Trapped Together on May 20, 2026.

This demo will be the next major step for the game. It will take what we learned from AnimeCon and turn it into a version that more players can experience, test, and hopefully enjoy.

Trapped Together is still far from finished. There is a significant amount of work ahead, and many things we want to refine, improve, and expand. But after AnimeCon, one thing is certain: we are more motivated than ever to keep going.

Support the Game

If you want to support Trapped Together, you can wishlist the game on Steam, follow our updates, share the project, or check out the new merch store.

Every bit of support helps us continue building the game and the studio behind it.

More soon.
